San Diego County’s cannabis community working to create events, education, and a healing focused community. California Cannabis Farmers Market is home of the 49% Collective for Home Garden Exchange and SD County Licensed collaborations.
A place where neighbors help neighbors
The California Cannabis Farmers Market domain is dedicated to serving the 49% Collective working on a Community Home Garden Exchange program, Meet the Farmer events, and the Cali-Sober Movement brand. Our goal is to keep working on the Meet the Farmer core goals of education and a direct-to-consumer sales formula.
A space for our community to gather, centered on healing, stewardship, fairness and human connection. Where neighbors share food, seeds, knowledge, resources, encouragement and, most of all, social time. Where we reconnect with organic sun-grown produce, local resilience and the simple value of caring for one another again, because many people in our communities are struggling right now.
Our story is just beginning. The team is waiting on San Diego County to move on licensing for our collective members.
What the collective is doing right now
- San Diego County advocacy for cannabis licensing and the social equity program.
- Bi-weekly Home Garden Exchange events.
- A producer-first community culture built on abundance. We grow it, we celebrate it together.
- Helping social equity entrepreneurs succeed in San Diego County.
- Educational resources and tool libraries.
- Connecting neighbors through sharing, trade and stewardship.
- Local policy advocacy that expands opportunity and responsible access for home growers, medical caregivers and medical cannabis users.
The work is led by local growers and advocates and supported by San Diego County farms and brands.
Our events start from one question about presence
Thích Nhất Hạnh invited people to ask not “What am I building?” but “What quality of presence am I bringing?” He also said, “The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence.”
With every event we want to bring people together around community, encourage sharing instead of competition, create places where people learn from one another, support stewardship and mutual aid, and help people feel connected.
